Moonstone Vintage Ring Solid 14k Gold : 13th Anniversary Gift for Women

This stunning ring features a natural Moonstone that is cut into the loveliest oval cabochon shape, and set into a solid 14k yellow gold setting with black enamel providing a striking contrast.

This top of the ring measures 13.5x11mm. The moonstone itself measures at 10x7.5mm.

The moonstone is the star of this piece and it's very hard to find moonstone of this quality these days. Clear as a moonlit pond of icy clear water this Moonstone exhibits a beautiful luminous and icy blue adularescence or Schiller effect. The ring is hallmarked 14k gold.

The back of this piece suggests that it may be an upcycled ring. The top was most likely a brooch or a cufflink that has been made into a ring. The design suggests that this is a mid century piece.
